where did the time go?

spring flowers

Spring is almost here.

March 17th, happy st patrick's day!

some guy on the street showing holiday spirit.

Ella's tricks

- walking
Ella likes to walk. it's her new favorite thing since she figured out how to put one foot in front of the other... our backs suffer from it (bending over to hold her hands while she walks. if she were only a little bit taller.) she particularly likes chasing the scroogim around. for now they outrun her with no effort, but every once in a while we corner a scrooge somewhere and she gets to "win". wheeeee! i'm sure the neighbors can hear her victory squeal. Scrooge, behind you!

- waving goodbye
We now wave good bye, with a little delay, so sometimes the person who she waves at is already long gone.

- kisses sounds on demand
this happened a few times, she makes a kissing noise to imitate me.

- eating ima's breakfast
ima's breakfast is the best. she likes to eat my cereal (after they get a little soggy) with the big spoon. mmmmmmmm!

March 13, 2010 - Field museum

the buttons are sometimes way more interesting than the stuffed turkey...
we didn't cover much of the museum, mostly because Ella wanted to walk through it on her own.
we wanted to go downtown and watch them color the river green like we did a couple of years ago (the St. Patrick's day parade was on the weekend), but the weather was too crappy. so instead we went to the Field museum, a good indoors alternative.

March 11, 2010 - BOB jogger

Our new upgrade! It's a BOB Revolution, and it's meant for jogging. As soon as it arrived we had to try it out, so we took Ella for a short walk down the street.

Ben and Ella went for their first run together the very next morning, while I stayed in bed :D.
I get up an hour or two after the two of them anyway, but this way it's minus the guilt! it seems like a big hit, both for Ella and for Ben. yayyy!

March 10, 2010 - Playing with Peter

Peter was very nice to share his play table with Ella! He had to show her how to use it :)
