river green

on saturday we went to see them dye the river green. it's a chicago st Patrick's day tradition, and it was awesome!!
we went down to the river with the O'brians (ben's collage friends) and had lots of fun taking lots of pictures.
i'll post some more pictures later on, but here's one to whet the appetite:

(the green stuff behind us is the chicago river, duh)

We felt pretty Irish on Saturday, watching them dye the river green, wearing green, and drinking green beer with Karin and Pat O'brien and their son Liam O'brien. If that's not being Irish, I don't know what is.

wow, you guys, the river looks perfectly clover green, I wish I could have been there! Did you try strong bowl, too? :))

Can you remind me Birgit...what the strong bowl is? I'm a little slow :(

We have to make sure Assaf H sees these pictures too. He's Tel Aviv's Irish proxy, so he'll appreciate it, and we have to convince him to come to Chicago on St. Patty's Day while we're still here.
