Feb 28, 2010 - Art institute

All the museums on park district in Chicago are required to provide 52 free days per year. Each museum is doing it in a different way -- some have regular free days, some have free days scattered all over the year; the Art Institute chose to have the entire month of February completely FREE.
Of course Nicole and I remembered this on the very last day of February!
Since Ben had to work that Sunday, we took the kids and went exploring. It went better than we could have ever imagined! Peter was the little art enthusiast, he really had an opinion about the paintings and had ones he liked and ones he didn't like. He also saw things in the more abstract paintings. Alright Pete!
Ella was (as usual) happy to be around Peter. She liked the colorful paintings, and looking at the reading the program.

I loved Picasso. The modern art wing is absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to visit again. I think March will be a good time to go, as the open a Matisse exhibition!
