June 25 - schedule

we think, hope, that our little munchkin is converging into a reasonable schedule. in the last few nights (maybe we have grandma Sandy to thank?), she went to bed at 8-9PM, slept till 3am woke up for a late night meal and went back to sleep until 7AM.
sometimes the 3AM-7AM stretch was shifted by a couple of hours (i.e., 1AM-5AM) but she still went back to sleep right after eating, without complaining or fussing or wanting to play. we're cautiously happy about that.

in the meanwhile, we're trying to figure out a daily routine, that will allow us both to get some work done (suggestions are welcomed!)
we tried taking Ella to work again today, but unlike the last few times (a week ago) when she was content if she was dry and not hungry - now she needs to be entertained if she's awake. smart little girl :) we can't carry around her mobile/bouncer/bookshelf with us, so our options are a bit limited at work. still we both got a couple of hours of work out of the day.

Last night, she slept from 9pm to 5am. Wow!!! Her Imma fed her at 5, and as of 7:45, she's still asleep (knock on wood).

Wow! That's terrific! Are you sure there wasn't anything extra in that last feeding last night?;)

ok.. last night we hit a record, Ella slept from about 10:30 to 7:15.

another thing to add to her schedule is a pretty stable period of fussy time, between late afternoon and bedtime. blah.

July 1st update:
knock on wood, Ella seems to actually like her nightly routine. she falls asleep right away, without any negotiation - i just put her in bed at 9pm and she falls asleep on her own. as if she's been looking forward to sleep just as much as we do!
she now sleeps 8 hours every night for a while now, probably more than a week. hope the long nights are here to stay!
