I figured we should document some of the stuff she says before we forget it. So of course i probably already forgot the cutest things... Here's a far-from-complete list.
We dont know how advanced her english is. Coffy says she's pretty good, and that she no longer tries to speak hebrew at school, only english (and some spanish)
He says she would say stuff like "the fire truck runs on the road".
guess we'll see this weekend!

אוליי... היא על הכיסא הלבן?

That's really impressive that she already knows not to speak Hebrew at day care! We are surrounded by bilingual kids here (Chinese/English), just as we were in Santa Barbara (Spanish/English), and I've seen kids as old as 5 switch between languages with me. I'm never sure how much of it is due to not sorting out the languages yet, and how much of it is not yet figuring out that not every adult can speak Chinese or Spanish.
I suppose a non-Hebrew-speaking day care provider speeds up that process.
here are my comments for the past few posts:
wow...(and I do mean WOW)
Ella is so amazing. usually bilingual kids start to complete sentances very late. Just seems like everything is easy for her. hmmmmm I wonder where she gets that from... (keren).
It looks like its summer over there. We still wear long clothes here, it hasn't warmed up enough yet for shorts. I am not jealous though, I know you'll be crying in your winter coats when we will still be at the beach around november.
I can't believe you are already potty training her. my kids were reluctant to let go of the diapers until they were 3. maybe you can give me some tips for Haddas...
she is the slowest of all three. I think she'll be 5 by the time we potty train her. she still has a hard time rolling over and she is nearly 8 months old! If she and Ella keep up the pace, Ella will be able to babysit her in a year or two...
Thanks, dikla!
We're not potty training her yet- she's not physically ready for it, she doesn't feel or recognize when she's about to poop or pee. But she likes to and asks to sit on the potty, since they do it at school as a routine. We let her and hope that by chance shell do spmething in it. Usually she poops 10 minutes after she's done sitting :p
I'm sure Haddas will catch up. Ella didn't do any rolling or crawling, even though she was strong enough. some kids just don't!
