Happy birthday dr Seuss!

i volunteered to help Ella and Daniel's school cook green eggs and pancakes (no ham, doh) for Dr. Seuss' birthday, which happens to be today. I got there right when the kids were celebrating Shabat (instead of Shabat candles they put candles on the cat-in-the-hat- hat-shaped birthday cake). Despite my (small) effort to hide, Ella saw me and was super super happy to see me. I was sure she won't let me out of her sight, but she was extremely mature about me needing to go cook with the other moms, and about me having to go to work after lunch. here she is telling her friend Lucius something funny, and then back in the classroom waiting patiently for lunch to start! most of the kids didn't really go for the green eggs, but everybody appreciated the pancakes :)
