We moved to Chicago right after our wedding, to start a new job, new family, new home. This was our Chicago blog. Time moved on, and we moved too; and even though we no longer live in the third coast, it remains our virtual home.

Niiice. Definitely worth the little detour we took this morning. I didn't realize how many maples there were in Chicago until the fall got here.

Good idea Birgit! My parents' hometown Shepherd, Michigan is filled with maple trees, and they tap almost every tree in town for maple. You can see some pictures on their official website. It's biggest event of the year in Shepherd!
No snow yet either. They did have some in Cadillac last week. The last two nights have been below freezing in Chicago, so we should see snow any time!
