blame it on the moon??

Austrian scientists have just proved that "The full moon does not unfavorably affect the likelihood of an accident"
(read the article here, in English / Hebrew).
i might be in a minority here, but i think i can find some reasons for the full moon to be of influence.

  • "honey, look at the moon! it's so beautiful tonight!!" [eeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr $%*@$$&&@$@ !!!CRASH!!!]
  • "nah, it's a full moon today, don't need a flash light. i'll just go pee behind that bush by end of the cliff" [ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SPLAT]
  • "you think it'll be easier to see our burglary victims tonight?"

The moon is probably the reason I'm going bald. The extra tidal pull from the full moon exerts just enough force on my scalp.

Sometimes skeptics go too far in their quest to discredit the full moon. This article has a laundry list of things that people tried to correlate with the full moon, and were unable to. One of them is vampirism. I would love for somebody to show me a vampire, regardless of whether there was a full moon or not. I'll be they're strongly anti-correlated with sun light. And I can prove it.

Yeah, and that fantasy about "violence by professional hockey players." Who would believe in that stuff?
