Santa did well with giant melman and Marty, and missed the mark with a train set (should have been self propelling) and the remote-controlled bugs (that scared Ella, then scared Grendel, which scared Ella even more). Both things were "for Ella, but if she doesn't like it I'll have fun playing with it" according to ben... Isn't it always the case with toy trains?

The ukulele may be in the latter category, at least for now Ella didn't care for it too much -- but I learned how to play "twinkle twinkle little star" already :)

it snowed again when we left school today, so we stood there for a while to admire the snow. snow on your tong is fun :) Ella says that she wants a lot of it. there will probably still be some on the ground when she wakes up in the morning.
