weekend stuff

i started working on a poncho:

the colors in this image aren't exactly right. they are more similar to the colors of this hat .
i hope to finish it soon, so i can wear it at the office and keep warm! it's gonna get real cold in chicago soon. right now i'm happy if the temperature outside is freezing and not below :S

other plans for the weekend, is to make a pot of chicken soup for us to take to work next week. it's perfect soup weather, and the choice of soups at the cafeterias isn't that great (their chicken noodle soup is actually good, but they don't usually have it).
another experiment is going to be cinnamon rolls. ever since i made that chala for dinner in canada, i'm not as afraid of yeast as i used to be.

oh, and ben got a starwars game for the wii. i think he likes it.

for next time, please write "reversed angle" on the pictures you post...
it took me a few seconds to realize where he is sitting...

and, exuse me for asking, did you reverse the image?

or maybe you have done some remodeling.....

hehe ron, i thought you would be the only one who will get confused by this!
i took the photo with the camera that's built into the computer. it's a mirror image, taken from the couch towards the tv. compare to this

You are so active!!!!!the poncho is a very good idea.very good for pregnency ant it looks beautiful.I am so proud of you 'Keren. These are the things that I can be proud and understand-not like the other thing that you do and they are so abstruct to me ):
How did the cinnamon rolls worked out?

i baked them in 2 batches, the first one was kinda dry, so i turned the temp up a bit and baked for less time. i also used ben's idea, of squeezing the roladas together in the pan, so that the sides stay moist and the rising will occur upwards and not to the sides. he said that's what they do at cinnabon, it was a good idea!
i froze most of them for future consumption.

the chicken soup will have to wait for next week though. we couldn't find any nice veggies at any of the stores we happened to be at (the parsley root looked like it's already been in the soup already...) and besides, it's a short weekend. so next week!

By the way, the chicken soup this week is delicious :) We should thaw out some more cinnamon rolls too.

Keren also made brownies this weekend for Thanksgiving. They were so good that Erin at 4 for breakfast.
