Conference in italy

This is the view from my hotel room. The hotel is owned by the family of one of the astronomers that organized the conference. Besides ski and spa, it has a real telescope dome on the roof (with a ccd and sdss-like filters!) and a smaller one you can put your eye to and look at planets and such. Last night was clear but the moon was very bright so we only looked at the moon... Neat!

The fun part about ski conferences...

Is that your reward for sitting in a hall all week listening to your colleagues talk about their work, is fantastic ski!

Today I got to ski the Dolomiti and the Alps in one afternoon :)

Today we went to the petting zoo in Savyon, the same one we went to a couple of years ago in the heat. We were there from opening at 9am until 2 or 2:30. We fed the birds, petted and fed the bunny rabbits, blew bubbles, played on the playground, made pita, and painted. Daniel burned about at about 11 and took a nap for an hour or so, and just before he woke up, Dafi, Yuval, and Leora joined us. Ella and Yuval got along pretty well, and Daniel threw sand, ate sand, and jumped off the slide. The unedited full adventure is on Picasa if I ever get the linking to work.
